Goodday Sir
I just want to congratulate you for all yours works and comments.More grease to your elbows and I wish you God's continous blessings.
Thanks

When there is fire in the house,we need a brave fire fighter warrior to get into the flames and quench out the fire...You are doing a great job...There is FIRE in this house called La republique

I enjoy your plays especially 'beast of no nation'
I have read many of your other works and really appreciate them all. Move on!

If Cameroon could have two of you, doctor,Cameroonians would be boasting of being able to compare their litery works with a country like Nigeria.Unfortunately it is not the case.I want you to understand that you are doing a very wonderful job and I wish you the very best.Let no negative comments discourage you but go ahead in your wonderful job of making your country known.I'm proud of being your student.

Thanks for all the writing. If you did not write who will in Cameroon? So few people in the country write at all. I am worried what my kids will remember of where I come from. But thanks to you they will!

Sir,
YOU ARE WONDERFUL.More grease to your elbows and may God guide you as you fight for us leaders of tomorrow. I really wish I could have your kind of spirit but everyman was created in his own way. Continue to furnish us with more knowledge.

you are indeed a blessing and source of inspiration to young scholars and patriots. may the good lord continue to guide and protect you in all your endeavours. GOD BLESS YOU.

Though it is often said that the most intelligent is not yet born ,it is an understatement because you are indeed one. Your dealth has opened the eyes of many cameroonians who's eyes were opened but could not see. You conquered fear and ignorance , the No.1 enemy of man. May your gentle soul rest in the lord. you will always remain the bold boy(BB)
Goodbye BB

Very few could openly apprecaite you and others could only do so by hatred. How many are there in this nation like you.you may have passed on but you live in every heart...Bate Besong lives.Thank you.

BB,

I will never forget that day in 1992, at the OIC open air Hall when you launched one of your books. I cant remember the title for sure, but I remember the role you gave me to play.

I was to recite a few dialogues from the book which ran thus:

" Amot, wa ding money
Wa wing Sonara money
O wey! Sonara Money abui
Wa keve?
Za'a bike"

Yes I remember those lines so distinctly, and I remember that Wache had given me CFA 2000 for my good voice control and urged me to consider acting seriously.

You were my mentor. You fired the creative flames which had long been lying latent in me.

If there is one thing I promise myself to do and bring honour to all that you did for me, it is this resolve by Boxer in Animal Farm

" I shall work harder "

I really wish God would give you a chance during the Resurrection...

Rest well BB
Rest .

KATAKATA
A former student and Personal Friend

it is easier to destroy than to create, easier to plan than to realise. It took you years to create and plan but rather had the misfurtune to see all your plans miscarry.
no regret whatsoever, for you nursed good seeds which are blooming and bloosoming and will soon grow up to bear edible fruits.
continue to guide us for you are our saint.
