IS BB OF UB DEAD?
I CANT FIND WORDS
TO EXPRESS THIS LOSS
BB, AMBE, GWANGWA
ALL DEAD?
THEIR DRIVER INCLUDED
NAMA, HERBERT,NJIKI AND NOW BB
OH UB!WICKED UB!
WHAT ARE U DOING TO UR OWN?
NEED WE RUN AWAY FROM YOU?
UB, YOU UNITE AND THEN DIVIDE
AFTER BB CAUSED THIS CREAM OF SCHOLARS
TO CONVERGE AND SAVOUR
THE NEW DISH HE HAD PREPARED
IN GUISE OF A BOOK LAUNCH
WHICH HE TITLED "DISGRACE"
UB YOU DISGRACED YOURSELF
AS YOU TOLD THE WORLD
THAT YOU KILL YOUR SCHOLARS
YOU KILL YOUR GUESTS
YES, YOU KILL EVERYONE
SO IN THIS PROHETIC DISGRACE
HOW DARE YOU CLAIM YOU ARE THE PLACE TO BE?
BB,YOU DIED A WARRIOR, YOU DIED ACTIVE, YOU SET AN EXAMPLE FOR ALL...BUT THIS VOID I FEAR SHALL BE TOO MUCH FOR BUTAKE AND NGWANE TO FILL..
BB,KWASE,AMBE, AWOH....REST IN PEACE

Everything happened so fast.
Even before we could savour the new recioe BB had on the literary plata for us, we were yet awakened to another bitter reality....
BB DIDNT EVEN HAVE TIME TO DISCUSS HIS OWN BOOK....THE MAN JUST DIED FOR REAL...AND HE DIDNT DIE ALONE..HE DIED WITH OTHER LITERARY FIREBRANDS OF HIS CALLIBRE!!!
OH DEATH! WHY SHOULD YOU DO THIS TO US ?
TAKING BB ALONE WAS BAD
TOGETHER WITH KWASE WAS EVEN WORSE
ADDIND HILARIOUS MAKES IT ALL PATHETIC
WE LOST BB,KWASE, HILARIOUS, AWOH
ALL IN ONE SWOOP IN FRENCH CAMEROON TERRITORY
MUST ALL OUR SONS DIE IN FRENCH CAMEROON?

BATE BESONG, YOU USUALLY TOLD US THAT OKIGBO WAS YOUR MENTOR AND INSPIRATOR.HE DIED IN THE WAR FRONT WHILE FIGHTING FOR HIS COUNTRY.HE WAS A PROPHET
YOU'VE BEEN TAKEN AWAY IN THE COURSE OF BRINGING JUSTICE TO YOUR NATION.JUST LIKE OKIGBO,YOU'RE A SOCRATIC GADFLY,A PROPHET AND A MENTOR.
REST IN PEACE TO YOU ALL

B.B, You've left behind you a footprint.
I wish DANTE and MANDELA do continue from where you ended...
You need not worry in your eternal haven.
You really need to rest with the LORD, for you succeeded in ending the twilight of your life with your dream: DISGRACING THIS LEPROUS SOCIETY.

I coud not believe it when i heard BB was dead. However,as a journalist i verified the information and when i got confirmation from reliable soures i immedately annouced it on my media Radio Veritas96.9fm in Douala Cameroon and L'Effortcamerounais the Newspaper of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon.www.leffortcamerounais.com .
But i really wonder what can be wrong in the University of Buea.It appears some cleansing is needed.Abagma,Ebanja;Edenley,Bikoi and now Bate are gone within a year and a half.
mmmmmmmmmmh

I still can't believe you are gone.
You were a legend and your work will forever remain an example for those who believe in the truth.
As my lecturer, I say thank you for all the encouragement and support rendered to me during my studies in UB. And as I friend, I say farewell, and May God lead you safely to your journey home... Rest in Peace

THE DYING UB
It's shocking, terrible, and unimaginable to see that A PLACE TO BE has fast become a place where the mother cows are slaughtered in hot spilling blood. It all started with Atangana and swept the Chief, through Endeley, and now Ambe and the famous BB who was crying for us. UB has taken a gp curve for a fleshless body.
May their souls RIP.

Death has taken away a distinguished Cameroonian writer. We mourn this great loss and pray that we will each follow his example.
